Restarting working

After a small period of inactivity, I'm restarting working on EasyLaunch5. I fixed some bugs on shortcuts lists and an incompatibility with FindHack, I implemented the use of left/center/right buttons on T, T2, T3 and TE, I'm working on the record button. In addition, I'm working on a new preferences system to make hold/long hold duration configurable, make the virtual graffiti area working as lower screen when making status bar swipes and configure backlight levels. The new version will be out shortly (a week?).
I'd like to do some work on DuelMines too: I'll add the possibility to avoid big empty spaces, which make luck play a bigger part in game. In addition, I'll make the AI a little better (by avoiding such empty spaces), and I'll make some small improvements.

I'm back

I disappeared for a while... I published version 1.0 of EasyLaunch5, I didn't published a note because it's the same as the last beta.
After that, I fixed a bug in line home / line end: nobody told me it didn't work, but the bug was there since 0.8...
Moreover, it seems that, sometimes, there is some problem with some SD cards, I'm working on this...

New beta version

I fixed the problems linked to registration disappearing. Download the new version here.

EasyLaunch5 todo list

My handheld came back, so I can restart the real testing. Since many of you ask me about features that already are on my to do list, I publish it here (the order is random):
  • fix a bug reported by Mar00k: DAs launched from MRU list crash tha device. That's strange: DAs should not be in MRU list: waiting for more feedback from Mar00k;
  • navigator selection, left e right buttons support for T|E;
  • fix an incompatibility with TealPad reported by Kolko: I couldn't reproduce, so I'm waiting for feedback;
  • fix an incompatibility with DaMemoPad reported by Mar00k;
  • MRU and MEU lists must appear in the right position when the virtual graffiti is lowered;
  • Virtual Graffiti toggle in actions;
  • action to disable and enable EasyLaunch5 from within the applications;
  • popup DA list;
  • PTunes support;
  • record button support (waiting for feedback);
  • Zodiac buttons support (need tester);
  • better documents;
  • fix some internal problems with callbacks;
  • support for Treo keyboard (testers and documentation needed!);
  • tuning MEU applications;
  • configuration of backlight levels;
  • configuration of hold/long hold intervals;
  • list of favourite applications;
  • add more skins;
  • move binding list into a DB so it can be backed up.

Stability improvement

On my return I found some emails complaining about stability. Since I have an exam tomorrow and my real device is out (check previous post) I compiled a version without the problematic optimization (callback use). You can find it here. Please notice there's something new:
  • skin support (with no skin yet);
  • most ever used applications.
The second probably need to be tuned, but neither of the two should create problems.
